Experience the sweet celebration of the 2023 Vista Strawberry Festival on Sunday, May 28! From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., you can join a variety of activities for all ages. The Vista Strawberry Run 5K, 1-mile kids run, and ¼ mile kids run are the highlight of the festival. Everyone who registers receives a custom event T-shirt, commemorative medal, one free beer in the beer garden, a one-day pass to the Carlsbad Columbia Sportswear Company Employee Store, age group awards, and a souvenir cinch bag filled with goodies. If you are unable to attend, you can also participate virtually and still get the swag.

After the run, you can join in the crowds and get your fill of music, and other attractions. Park in the public lots near the festival or take the courtesy shuttles from the Vista County Courthouse. History of this event

Established in 2008, Vista Strawberry Festival celebrates the region’s storied history as the “Strawberry Capital of the World.” This family-friendly day of fun honors the grand strawberry in all its forms.

The Vista Chamber of Commerce and MainStreet Vista organize this annual event in historic downtown Vista. You’ll enjoy a 5K certified run, a 1 mile and quarter mile kid’s runs, unique strawberry dessert creations, a pie eating competition, costumes and contests, music, an international selection of foods, a beer garden, wine and artisan court, and much more.

Discovering the Basics: A Comprehensive Guide for Beginners

You won’t need a ticket to enjoy the Vista Strawberry Festival in 2023 and no reservations are necessary. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 28th. Prices for different activities vary. For example, the 5K Run/Walk costs $40, and the Kid’s 1-Mile Run and Kid’s 1/4-Mile Run are both priced at $25. Virtual 5K and Virtual Kid’s Run registration are also available.

Participants get a lot of awesome swag. All registered racers get a custom t-shirt, commemorative medal, beer, awards, a souvenir cinch bag filled with goodies, a one-day pass to the Carlsbad Columbia Sportswear Company Employee Store, strawberries and more. There’s also a costume contest.

Parking & Shuttle Bus Service

Parking is available in nearby public lots at the Vista Civic Center, Vista Library, and Vista Transit Center if you choose to bring your own car. Alternatively, you can take the courtesy shuttles from the Vista County Courthouse at 325 S. Melrose Drive, which run from 6:30 am until 7 pm.

For those attending the 2023 Vista Strawberry Run, shuttles will pick up from in front of Starbucks in Vista Village at 30 Main Street. And as an added bonus, your registration fee for the run includes a souvenir cinch bag filled with fresh strawberries and other goodies.
